Sperrin House, located in the heart of the Sperrin Mountains in County Derry, is a project that we are particularly proud of. It blends tradition and sustainability. Drawing from local vernacular forms and primitive stone dwellings, the contemporary timber-clad “bard-like” form sits atop a textured concrete base, maximising stunning views over the Sperrin Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty landscape. Repurposed stone from a former on-site dwelling knits into the newly built form, getting a second life as a contributor to a now light-filled, low-impact composition befitting to client’s vision through an innovative blend of past and future.
Being shortlisted for the RIAI Awards is an incredible privilege, and we are grateful for the recognition of our work. The RIAI Awards celebrate excellence in architecture across various categories, and we are proud to be among the talented architects and firms being acknowledged this year across Ireland.
The awards ceremony take place on Friday 21st June 2024 at the National Gallery of Ireland, where the winners will be announced. We look forward to attending the event and celebrating the achievements of our colleagues in the architecture community.
