Extension of the existing clubhouse pavilion facilities and a new indoor arena with 3G sports surface

Site located within a densely populated built up residential area; a symbolic building at the centre of the local community; working with public funding and large club committee

The design concept proposal for the sports development was driven by its context, and its need to be a complimentary neighbour to the existing brick pavilion that Sean Dolan's GAC currently enjoy, whilst at the same time its need to be an uplifting and positive intervention in the predominantly residential surroundings of its greater context. Accommodation includes multi-purpose room which can accommodate various complimentary uses for the sports club and community: training space, exercise or gym room, dance classes, social gatherings in support of the club and sports activities, meeting room, and associated plant and toilet facilities.
