Client Aspirations
Our client requested a bespoke separate external sun garden terrace, separate veranda connection to first floor of their home and an extensive new garden installation. Although a separate entity, the design needed to complement the existing house.
Challenges
Capturing the Sun path for both built installations; material choices to complement existing house; garden drainage
Our Response
Delivery of a bespoke external covered garden terrace which was semi enclosed. This included a seated area for 8 persons located to float above a linear water pool and associated planting. This area was connected to a dining area with both areas utilising a dual frontage stove for heat on the long summer evenings. A palette of natural materials of stone, timber and glass. A pergola of corTen frames supported a veranda at first floor which was connected to the house through a glass bridge. This all set within a extension wild flower garden design.
